For many years we had two cats who were a big part of our lives.

Kimi was an Abyssinian and Sura was a Burmese. They had very different personalities but they were both very fond of us. Much of the time I was writing Summon Your Dragons one or both of them was sitting on my knee. So they turned up in that story. They also turn up in several stories in Where Sheep May Safely Graze . Our lives are somewhat smaller now they have gone, but they did have long and happy lives which is all we can hope for after all.
